DR Flavors & Ingredients participated in The Food Tech Summit & Expo Mexico, held on September 30 and October 1 in Mexico City. The event brought together more than 500 exhibitors and approximately 22,000 buyers from the ingredients, additives, solutions, processing, and packaging segments of the food and beverage industry.
During the two-day event, DR showcased applications developed from its DR NutraOne and Fruittion Botanicals portfolios, demonstrating how ingredients, application technology, and sensory expertise can be combined to create products that deliver taste, nutritional value, and strong sensory performance.
At the booth, customers, partners, and industry professionals explored concepts inspired by consumer trends and market needs that continue to gain momentum, including functional foods, protein, immunity, gut health, energy, and wellness. The goal was to demonstrate how DR leverages its portfolio, diverse technologies, and application expertise to develop customized solutions and unlock new product opportunities tailored to the specific needs of each customer and market.
The concepts presented featured solutions from the DR portfolio in formats such as functional and energy beverages, supplements, snacks, and functional indulgence products, combining ingredients, extracts, and natural actives with technology and application expertise. Among the highlights, the Cambuci-flavored energy drink attracted significant attention from visitors.
Native to Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, Cambuci is known for its floral and citrus aromatic profile and refreshing acidity. Based on the analysis of the volatile compounds responsible for the fruit’s sensory characteristics, DR developed a natural flavor that expands its application possibilities. The solution exemplifies how the company combines science, technology, and knowledge of Brazilian biodiversity to create innovative solutions for the industry.
In addition to the Cambuci beverage, DR also showcased a mango and acerola functional beverage, a liquid supplement with collagen and HMB (beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate), a green mate, pineapple, and mint beverage, among other applications.
“Our participation at The Food Tech Mexico was another opportunity to strengthen relationships with professionals from different countries, generate new business opportunities, and reinforce our new brand. This exchange also provided us with a closer view of the region’s demands and trends, contributing directly to our global expansion strategy,” said Marco Paulo Pereira Henriques, Marketing Director at DR Flavors & Ingredients.

With 100 years of history and operations in more than 70 countries, DR Flavors & Ingredients combines expertise in flavors, ingredients, technology, and application to develop solutions tailored to the diverse needs of the food and beverage industry worldwide.
